Immune-Supportive Mushrooms and Herbs (Chaga, Reishi, Rosehips)
Known as the “King of Mushrooms”, Chaga is traditionally wild harvested on Birch trees and is used for immune support and longevity. It contains antioxidants, triterpenes such as Betulin and Betulinic acid which are antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulating polysaccharides.

Known as the “Mushroom of Immortality”, Reishi has been used in East Asian Medicine for over 2,000 years. It is used for its immune-boosting and adaptogenic effects. Similar to Chaga, it has polysaccharides, antioxidant properties, and beta-glucans that support immune function. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is also used to balance and strengthen the liver.

Rosehips are antioxidant rich, packed with vitamin C and a gentle mucous membrane tonic due to its astringing effects. On an energetic level, it is considered emotional and physical heart medicine.

Adaptogens (Eleuthero, Chaga, Reishi, Schisandra, Tulsi)
These herbs enhance our ability to cope with physiological, environmental and/or emotional/psychological/spiritual stress.

Eleuthero is also known as a neuroendocrine restorative and regulator and can be helpful for exhaustion, chronic stress, overwork, low vitality, low endurance and poor sleep.

In addition to its adaptogenic and antioxidant qualities, Schisandra also has liver protective effects. It increases glutathione (our endogenous antioxidant) in the liver and rejuvenates hepatocytes (liver cells) which is both protective and healing.

Tulsi, or Holy Basil, is a mild adaptogen and traditional Ayurvedic herb that is used as a tonic to the brain and nervous system. It lifts the spirits while increasing mental clarity. It helps to reduce mental fog associated with chronic stress.

Shen Tonics (Reishi, Schisandra, Hawthorn Berry)
In TCM, shen is a broad concept referring to our mental functions such as thoughts, memory, emotions and our spirit. Shen resides in the heart and is anchored and nourished by blood and yin.  Shen tonics are herbs that have a direct effect on the spiritual heart and nervous system. TCM practitioners say that they “quiet the spirit and calm the heart”; in essence, they restore balance and joy. Shen tonic herbs can either be adaptogens or nervines.

Hawthorn Berry is an antioxidant-rich herb known for its heart trophorestorative actions as it nourishes the heart muscle and as a cardioprotective herb as it helps both regulate and strengthen the cardiovascular system. It is often used as energetic heart medicine to support a broken heart, deep-seated grief, and promote healthy boundaries.

Nervines (Milky Oat Top, Marshmallow Root, Hawthorn Berry)
Nervines are herbs that support the nervous system. “Tropho” means nourishment. Thus, “trophorestorative” means restorative nourishment. Trophorestorative herbs gradually restore function to a tired, run-down or chronically compromised system. It provides gentle relaxation, mild stimulation, and can be used regularly for months without adverse side effects.
